By any standards that society passes,
I am not beautiful,
i am 18,
I am short, only 153cm,
and I am about 70 kg. overweight
But all in all, I think that I am beautiful
. I feel that my beauty comes from within.
My virtures, my convictions and the morals that lead and giude me,
are what make me beautiful. I have a compassion in my heart,
that gives light to my dreams. I have a love in my soul that makes me feel for others.
What is inside my heart makes me beautiful.
The world as a whole is superficial and demands so much out of us.
We are bombarded with images of what we should be,
ridiculed and made to feel unworthy, guilty or ashmaded of who we really are.
Is that not teaching us all to live a lie?
I want to be free to be myself.
I am who I am
and there is nothing I can do to change that fact,
even if I could why would I? I am unique.
There is not another person out there in the entire world like me.
I am one of a kind and that makes me special.
And because of that I feel that is crazy to demand
that we all conform to this "carboard cut-out"
mentality of who we as women should be.
